Dilsiri Welikala

An artist from Kalpitiya that creates upcycled art from plastic waste found by the beach in his village. He is a role model to the youth of the village as he educates them on the waste created by these plastics and how they can be repurposed.

Apart from the art, Dilsiri owns a kitesurfing focused hotel, through which he gets to interact with tourists and have knowledge sharing sessions on the pollution in the area and its adverse effects.
